IF NOT BREATHING ASK FOR A DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) AND GET SOMEONE TO CALL 999

  • Place your interlocking hands in the centre of the chest. 
  • Position yourself above the casualty with your arms straight. 
  • 30 compressions 5-6cm depth 30:2 at a rate of 100 - 120 a minute.
  • Two breaths, two short, sharp rescue breaths lasting for approx 1 second each.
